The Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain is the world’s longest bridge fountain located in Banpo Hangang Park

Location

This place is located in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.

You want to visit this place, take by subway  Lines 3, 7, or 9 to Express Bus Terminal Station. Exit through Exit 8-1 or 8-2, then walk about 18 minutes to Banpo Hangang Park.

Hangang Park

Hangang Park is a major park along the Han River in Seoul, designed for citizens to relax and enjoy recreational activities.

At Hangang Park, you are allowed to eat food, and it is highly recommended to order delivery food like Korean style fried chicken or pizza while enjoying a picnic.
Many people bring blankets and sit by the river to relax, eat, and enjoy the beautiful view of the Han River.

Food delivery services operate conveniently in the park, and you can order food via mobile apps and have it delivered to designated areas.
This is a popular activity among both locals and tourists, especially in the evening when the night view of the river is stunning!

You also enjoy that rent a bike and ride along the scenic riverside paths.

Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain

The Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain is the world’s longest bridge fountain, listed in the Guinness World Records in 2008.

It features a stunning combination of music, colorful lights, and water jets, creating a spectacular night view over the Han River.

Under Banpo Bridge, there is Jamsu Bridge, where you can walk and feel as if you are right under the fountain.
When the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain is operating, the water cascades down from Banpo Bridge, creating a unique and immersive experience for those walking on Jamsu Bridge.

It’s a great spot to enjoy the fountain from a different perspective and take amazing photos while feeling the cool mist from the water.
Walking on Jamsu Bridge during the fountain show at night offers a beautiful and refreshing experience along the Han River!

Sebitseom

On the opposite side of the fountain, there is Sebitseom (Sebit Floating Islands), which offers a beautiful night view.

Sebitseom is a set of artificial floating islands on the Han River and is one of Seoul’s iconic landmarks. At night, the islands are illuminated with colorful lights, creating a stunning view.

It’s a great photo spot where you can capture both the Moonlight Rainbow Fountain and the Han River nightscape. The area also features cafés, restaurants, and event spaces, making it a perfect place to relax after enjoying the fountain show. Taking a stroll around Sebitseom at night is highly recommended!

The Moonlight Rainbow Fountain will resume operation in the spring, so if you are planning to visit Korea during this period, I highly recommend experiencing this beautiful fountain show while enjoying Korean-style fried chicken.

Watching the colorful water display with music at Banpo Hangang Park while having a picnic is a must-do activity in Seoul.
It’s a great way to relax, enjoy the night view, and experience local food culture at the same time!
